Kenshin's Words

Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die,
'cause you never had time to call and say "hi"?
You better slow down, don't dance too fast,
time is short, the music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere,
you miss the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through each day,
it is like an unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race, so take it slower,
hear the music before the song is over.

Comparison Of JES2 WITH JES3....!

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

BM® provides two kinds of job entry subsystems: JES2 and JES3. In many cases, JES2 and JES3 perform similar functions, but most installations use JES2.

Both JES2 and JES3 read jobs into the system, convert them to internal machine-readable form, select them for processing, process their output, and purge them from the system.
Some principle differences between the two JES systems include:

* In a mainframe installation that has only one processor, JES3 provides tape setup, dependent job control, and deadline scheduling for users of the system, while JES2 in the same system would require its users to manage these activities through other means. In an installation with a multiprocessor configuration, there are noticeable differences between the two, mainly in how JES2 exercises independent control over its job processing functions. That is, within the configuration, each JES2 processor controls its own job input, job scheduling, and job output processing.
* In cases where multiple z/OS® systems are clustered (a sysplex), it is possible to configure JES2 to share spool and checkpoint data sets with other JES2 systems in the same sysplex. This configuration is called Multi-Access Spool (MAS). In contrast, JES3 exercises centralized control over its processing functions through a single global JES3 processor. This global processor provides all job selection, scheduling, and device allocation functions for all of the other JES3 systems.
* With JES3, installations may decide whether the global JES3 or z/OS base control program will handle device allocation. With JES2, only the z/OS base control program handles device allocation.

HMC a short Definition...?

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Short for Hardware Management Console, HMC is an acronym frequently used to describe the IBM technology for managing and monitoring IBM mainframe (System z) or IBM UNIX (system p) servers. The HMC uses its network connections to one or more servers or frames to perform various management functions. As defined by IBM, Hardware Management Console technology provides a standard user interface for configuring and operating partitioned and SMP systems. The HMC enables a system administrator to manage configuration and operation of partitions in a system, as well as to monitor the system for hardware problems.

Z/os concept...... JCL Definition?

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

For every job that you submit, you need to tell z/OS® where to find the appropriate input, how to process that input, and what to do with the resulting output. You use job control language (JCL) to convey this information to z/OS through a set of statements known as job control statements.

While application programmers need some knowledge of JCL, the production control analyst must be highly proficient with JCL, to create, monitor, correct and rerun the company's daily batch workload.

The set of job control statements is quite large, which allows you to provide a great deal of information to z/OS. Most jobs, however, can be run using a very small subset of these control statements. Once you become familiar with the characteristics of the jobs you typically run, you may find that you need to know the details of only some of the control statements.
The following JCL example represents a job that performs the same functions as the TSO commands outlined in Figure 3.

//MYJOB JOB 1
//MYSORT EXEC PGM=SORT
//SORTIN DD DISP=SHR,DSN=ZPROF.AREA.CODES
//SORTOUT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSOUT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSIN DD *
SORT FIELDS=(1,3,CH,A)
/*

Each JCL DD statement is equivalent to the TSO ALLOCATE command. Both are used to associate a z/OS data set with a ddname, which is recognized by the program as an input or output. The difference in method of execution is that TSO executes the sort in the foreground while JCL is used to execute the sort in the background.
When submitted for execution:

MYJOB
Is a jobname the system associates with this workload.
MYSORT
Is the stepname, which instructs the system to execute the SORT program.
SORTIN
On the DD statement, SORTIN is the ddname. The SORTIN ddname is coded in the SORT program as a program input. The data set name (DSN) on this DD statement is ZPROF.AREA.CODES. The data set can be shared (DISP=SHR) with other system processes. The data content of ZPROF.AREA.CODES is SORT program input.
SORTOUT
This ddname is the SORT program output.
SYSOUT
SYSOUT=* specifies to send system output messages to the Job Entry Subsystem (JES) print output area. It is possible to send the output to a data set.
SYSIN
DD * is another input statement. It specifies that what follows is data or control statements. In this case, it is the sort instruction telling the SORT program which fields of the SORTIN data records are to be sorted.

"The Big Three" JCL statements: JOB, EXEC, and DD

All jobs require the three main types of JCL statements: JOB, EXEC, and DD. A job defines a specific workload for z/OS to process. A job is a separately executable unit of work defined by a user, and run by a computer. This representation of a unit of work consists of one program or a set of programs, files, and control statements.

Some z/OS users use the older term JCL card instead of JCL statement, because JCL used to be submitted to the system in the form of punched cards. Now JCL resides in storage (data sets) rather than on punched cards.

Because JCL was originally designed for punched cards, the details of coding JCL statements can be complicated. However, the general concepts are quite simple, and most jobs can be run using a very small subset of these control statements.
JCL has three basic statements:

JOB
Labels the unit of work that you want the system to perform, by providing a name (jobname). The JOB statement can optionally include accounting information and parameters that apply to the entire job.

A job stream, or input stream, consists of one or more jobs that are submitted to the system in a sequence. You can submit jobs to z/OS through either TSO or ISPF.
EXEC
Provides the name of an application program or JCL procedure (sometimes called a "proc") that the system is to run (or execute). A single job may contain multiple EXEC statements. Each EXEC statement within the same job is a job step.
DD
Identifies input and output to the program or procedure on the EXEC statement. Each DD (data definition) statement links a data set or other I/O device or function to a name (ddname) coded in the program. DD statements are associated with a particular job step.

Two special DD statements, JOBLIB DD and STEPLIB DD, identify the location of the program or procedure on the EXEC statement. z/OS automatically searches standard system libraries, so you need to code these special DD statements in your JCL only when your program or procedure resides in a private library.

What is JCL? Definition

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

JCL (job control language) is a language for describing jobs (units of work) to the MVS, OS/390, and VSE operating systems, which run on IBM's S/390 large server (mainframe) computers. These operating systems allocate their time and space resources among the total number of jobs that have been started in the computer. Jobs in turn break down into job steps. All the statements required to run a particular program constitute a job step. Jobs are background (sometimes called batch) units of work that run without requiring user interaction (for example, print jobs). In addition, the operating system manages interactive (foreground) user requests that initiate units of work. In general, foreground work is given priority over background work.

One IBM manual compares a set of JCL statements to a menu order in a restaurant. The whole order is comparable to the job. Back in the kitchen, the chefs divide the order up and work on individual dishes (job steps). As the job steps complete, the meal is served (but it has to be served in the order prescribed just as some job steps depend on other job steps being performed first).

JCL statements mainly specify the input data sets (files) that must be accessed, the output data set to be created or updated, what resources must be allocated for the job, and the programs that are to run, using these input and output data sets. A set of JCL statements for a job is itself stored as a data set and can be started interactively. MVS and OS/390 provide an interactive menu-like interface, ISPF, for initiating and managing jobs.

In MVS and OS/390, the part of the operating system that handles JCL is called the Job Entry Subsystem (JES). There are two versions, JES2 and a later version with additional capabilities, JES3.

What is Mainframe..?

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

A mainframe (also known as "big iron") is a high-performance computer used for large-scale computing purposes that require greater availability and security than a smaller-scale machine can offer. Historically, mainframes have been associated with centralized rather than distributed computing, although that distinction is blurring as smaller computers become more powerful and mainframes become more multi-purpose. Today, IBM emphasizes that their mainframes can be used to serve distributed users and smaller servers in a computing network.
The mainframe is sometimes referred to as a "dinosaur" not only because of its size but because of reports, going back many years, that it's becoming extinct. In 1991 Stewart Alsop, the editor of InfoWorld, predicted that the last mainframe would be retired by 1996. However, in February 2008 IBM released a new mainframe, the z10. Steve Lohr wrote about the mainframe as "the classic survivor technology" in The New York Times ("Why old technologies are still kicking"):

I.B.M. overhauled the insides of the mainframe, using low-cost microprocessors as the computing engine. The company invested and updated the mainframe software, so that banks, corporations and government agencies could still rely on the mainframe as the rock-solid reliable and secure computer for vital transactions and data, while allowing it to take on new chores like running Web-based programs.

The original mainframes were housed in room-sized metal frames, which is probably where the name derives from. In the past, a typical mainframe might have occupied 2,000 - 10,000 square feet. Newer mainframes are about the same size as a large refrigerator.

2009 Gumpert Apollo Speed (XCLUSIV)

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

World premiere at Geneva Motor Show from 5 to 15 March 2009 GUMPERT Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH will be presenting an even faster apollo speed. (Altenburg)

GUMPERT Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH will be presenting the apollo speed at the 79th Geneva Motor Show. The racer made in Germany has earned his name, and rightly so. For any speed limit is pointless! Whereas optimum performance for racetracks, lateral acceleration and grip in all situations are the focus of apollo, apollo sport and apollo race, the apollo speed is aimed at an exclusive high speed clientele. Its domain is the mastery of highest speeds. Thanks to polished aerodynamics the drive side values of the speed are far above those of the competition.

Form follows Function

The appearance of apollo speed is now even more classy and aggressive. His striking two tone paint emphasises the racers compact appearance, at 1,105mm being lower that his brothers at 1,114mm.
A good look from the front reveals the changed design around the wheel arches. A low restrict induction system rounds off the snappy appearance and provides fresh air to the engine. Further modifications have been made to the rear end of this super sports car: The redesigned tail lights concisely show where the apollo is headed to, before it vanishes from the sight of its pursuer. The two-seater also has a small adjustable spoiler to lend it the required drive side for its
intoxicating speed.

With a fully enclosed CAS underbody (carbon / aluminium sandwich) and wheel caps (fixed at the front and rotating at the back) the speed takes Formula 1 to the road and is just asking for a challenge to a sprint.

The powerful 8 cylinder Biturbo of apollo speed provides an optional 650 / 700 / 800 HP and a torque of
850 / 875 / 900 Nm. His performance is top class: The car can go from standing still to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds.

A speed of 200 km/h is reached in just 8.9 seconds. His maximum speed is over 360 km/h. (Depending on equipment, country-related specifications, gear ratio and engine power) The racer impresses by its sportive, elegantly equipped interior.

It is available with either leather or Alcantara, and provides a whole panoply of details, such as air conditioning and a DVD moniceiver. The removable steering wheel makes it easy to get in. Embedded in the monocoque and held in by 4 point seat belts, the driver becomes one with the apollo. An intense bond!

Get to know the new, extroverted super sports car by GUMPERT.

We look forward to welcoming you to our press conference at our booth 2045 at 11am on 4 March 2009. GUMPERT Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH will be showcasing its super sports cars at the Geneva Motor Show for the fourth time.

2009 Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

The Veyron „Bleu Centenaire“ – a one off anniversary model

Geneva, 3rd March 2009 – At Geneva the Bugatti Veyron « Grand Sport » is shown for the first time to
a wider public in Europe. Next to the Grand Sport Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. presents the Veyron
« Bleu Centenaire », a special commission honouring the 100th anniversary of the company, thus
initiating a range of worldwide activities celebrating the creation of this mythic brand a hundred years
ago.

Hundred years of Bugatti

In 1909 Ettore Bugatti started his business in the Alsacian town of Molsheim, France. The name of the
company: „Ettore Bugatti Automobiles i.Els.“. And although the name has changed into “Bugatti
Automobiles S.A.S.”, the site and the philosophy of the brand have been preserved. In 2006 the first model under the „new management“ was launched, precisely 50 years after the last car of the original company left the gates of the Molsheim factory. The Bugatti Veyron has only been on the market for three years, but has already reached the status of being an undisputed part of automotive history, with 250 cars ordered to date, and nearly 200 cars delivered. This means that there are only 50 Veyrons to be sold until the limit of 300 units will be reached.

The Veyron “Bleu Centenaire”

Building on the marque’s core values of « Art – Forme – Technique » , Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. has created the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire, a unique model to celebrate the hundred year old history of the company. This special model takes up the traditional Bugatti two-tone-specification, but portrays it in one rather than two colours: in the most known light shaded Bugatti blue. The Centenaire’s unique combination of a « sprintblue matt » and « sprintblue gloss » hence offers a new impression of the two-tone-scheme known so far with parts of the engine also covered in this traditional Bugatti Blue.

The roof-trim-stripes and the exterior rearview mirrors are of polished, anodised aluminium. A special wheel design has been added – enhanced by a bright red brake-capillar. The grills at the front and at the side air intakes are in « mirror shine ».

The interior of the Centenaire is fitted in a special «snowbeige» leather with quilting on the seats. The
central console is covered in the same leather. New LED lights, Park Distance Control and a rearview camera have become part of the standard equipment for all Bugatti Veyrons from this year onwards. The Bleu Centenaire shares all performance characteristics of other Veyron models performance-, acceleration- and deceleration characteristics which have been highly praised ever since the Bugatti Veyron first appeared on the scene. The car will cost 1,35 Million Euro exclusive taxes and transportation.

Celebrations throughout the year

“2009 will be an exciting year for the brand,” announces the President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen, at Geneva Autoshow, “we will be celebrating our hundredth anniversary with references to our successful past and a – hopefully – successful future”.

"Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “, will celebrate its hundredth anniversary on various occasions throughout the year, culminating in an event in Molsheim on September 12, 2009. The next highlight Bugattisti should look out for will be the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at Cernobbio in the North of Italy between April 24 and 26.

2009 Italdesign Giugiaro Frazer-Nash

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

The fastest and most ecological hybrid in the world

Namir is a concept car born of the collaboration between Italdesign Giugiaro and Frazer-Nash, a company specialized in the design, construction, and marketing of hybrid systems deeply rooted in the historical automotive manufacturing company founded in England by Archie Frazer-Nash in 1923.

Presented during the 79th edition of the International Motor Show in Geneva, Namir represents the turning of a new page in the book being written by the Torino-based firm since 2004, opening with the Alessandro Volta project and followed up with the commemorative dream car – Quaranta - the result of research and development on sports cars fuelled by hybrid systems produced last year in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the company’s founding.

The Arabian name Namir, meaning “tiger”, sums up the main features of the concept car: elegance and power, aggressiveness and litheness of lines. Without any doubt it is a sports car: a coupĂ© with two bucket seats and an accurate equilibrium between style and mechanics, aesthetics and contents. The sophisticated mechanics as well as the avant-garde electric and electronics systems are wrapped up into an aggressive package with an exquisitely balanced proportion of volumes and a stunning contrast between the sharp accents of the rear end and the sinuous front lines that emphasise this supercar's performance: over 300 km/h (187 mph) at maximum speed and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200km/h in 10.4 seconds, making this the fastest hybrid car in the world.

Namir is also an ecological vehicle. The hybrid system developed together with Frazer-Nash combines an 814 cc endothermic rotary engine with four electric motors, guaranteeing autonomy of 39 km with one litre of fuel CO2 emissions of less than 60 grams per km travelled.

Namir is not merely an exercise in style in and of itself, but rather a fully developed project followed in each and every phase by the Torino-based firm: chassis, body, and mechanical layout were designed and constructed by the Engineering Division, the exterior and interior style was entrusted to the Italdesign Giugiaro Style Centre, while the electrical and electronic elements were developed in collaboration with Frazer-Nash.

The prototype was built entirely in the Italdesign Giugiaro plant.

About Italdesign Giugiaro – Frazer-Nash collaboration

“The encounter with Frazer-Nash dates back to about a year ago” explains Fabrizio Giugiaro, Vice President and Styling Director of Italdesign Giugiaro, "and it was a pleasure to meet with a name that has made automobile history. Since the early 1990s, Frazer-Nash has taken the lead in the engineering and construction of hybrid systems for vehicles; they were very interested in our branch of research dedicated to hybrid systems applied to sports vehicles and, a few months ago, contacted us about collaborating with them in developing a product that would be able to showcase the potential of their systems. Frazer-Nash then began concentrating on the development of a fuel, traction, and transmission system bespoke for Namir, while the talents and expertise of Italdesign Giugiaro were exploited for the interior styling, planning, engineering and mechanics. It certainly was an interesting and profitable collaboration that resulted in a unique vehicle with very exciting performance levels in terms of speed and pick-up, above all in terms of low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions”.

Uncompromising innovation in Giugiaro tradition

An “extreme”, clean-technology project embodying 40 years of styling research and engineering celebrated by Italdesign Giugiaro in Geneva.

The “Quaranta” project is a concept car designed to celebrate Italdesign Giugiaro’s forty years of business in styling and technological research at the service of the automotive sector.

The Quaranta, world-premiered at the 2008 Geneva International Motor Show, is a synthesis of Italdesign Giugiaro’s unmatched experience of automotive design: from city cars to super sports-cars, from MPVs to medium-engined saloons up to and including luxury flagships and environment-friendly SUV, not to mention light/heavy duty commercial vehicles, in complete cooperation with leading manufacturers all over the world.

The Quaranta is an “extreme” product, an environment-friendly, 4WD super sports-car which incorporates a series of innovative aspects: its styling, but also its drive technology, which combines a hybrid engine with solar energy, and its internal layout which, despite its mid-mounted rear engine, can accommodate three adults and a child, also providing a generous luggage compartment.
The idea which inspired the Quaranta project is that of the first single-volume concept car with central engine and drive. The original reference is to the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta which, at that time, represented a major breakthrough in styling, now adapted to state-of-the-art technology and enriched with Italdesign Giugiaro’s forty years experience of research.

Spyker C8 Aileron

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

In order to enhance the aerodynamic performance of the car, several changes in styling were made,
such as stretching the canopy backwards. Most of the shark-like gills have been abandoned, which
results in a cleaner, smoother appearance. The front end is now characterised by a larger grille that
gives additional cooling. Also the rear diffuser was redesigned for improved functionality. An extra
spoiler has been placed under the diffuser, providing additional downforce to boost the ground effect
produced by the diffuser.

Sometimes practicality gains over design: the split side windows with the characteristic metal frame
have been replaced by single-pane side windows that are fully retractable, improving driving comfort.
The outside mirrors, standard in body colour, were redesigned and the mirror body is mounted on two
turbine fan blades.

The rear lights are made of LEDs (light-emitting diodes). LED lights were also used for the indicators
and the sidelights in the redesigned headlight units. The style of the headlights is particularly eyecatching as they follow the body design more closely. This characteristic styling can be defined as a part of the (future) Spyker identity first seen on the Spyker C12 Laturbie and subsequently in the
Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris. In fact, the latter will use the identical headlight units to those of the
Aileron.

The C8 Aileron is available in 16 standard colours, but customers may choose any colour they wish as
an option, as well as the Spyker Squadron GT2 colour scheme. The standard colours have been
developed by Sikkens Autolakken Nederland and AkzoNobel Car Refinishes. Spyker selected these
companies because of their high quality standards and their flexibility to meet with special
requirements. Some of the standard colours have been created especially for the C8 Aileron.

Power train

The Spyker C8 Aileron will use the Audi 4.2 litre V8 engine, giving 400 bhp and will be available with
two transmission alternatives. The first one is a 6-speed Getrag manual gearbox, with ratios perfectly
matched to the V8 engine. This is joined by a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox, which comes standard
with paddle shifts behind the steering wheel, to progress smoothly through the ratios. Both
transmissions retain Spyker’s trademark exposed gear change mechanism.

Interior

Thanks to the longer chassis, the Spyker C8 Aileron has more interior space, which results in a higher
comfort level and improved ergonomics. The interior, with its typical attention to detail, is made of the
highest quality leather, from the Litano range of the Dutch Royal Tannery Hulshof. The leather interior
is available in 14 standard colours, but any other colour – if desired by the customer – can be ordered
as an option.

Driver and passenger sit low, close to the car’s centre of gravity, where they can feel the car reacting
to the input of the driver, for a direct and sporting connection between car and driver.

The dashboard was completely redesigned to suit the new Spyker identity and to improve ergonomics
and functionality. Air vents are designed in turbine style and the performance and distribution of the
air conditioning was improved significantly. A multifunctional LCD display is integrated between the
speedometer and the odometer. The middle console accommodates the standard Kharma sound
system (see In-Car Entertainment). Chronoswiss dials and switches are available as an option.
More space was created around the Spyker characteristic floor-mounted pedal box. The impression of
professional functionality and ergonomic styling is enhanced by the optimised positioning of the door
handle and the hand-brake lever.

UgurSahinDesign Corvette Z03 Concept in production as USD Mallett Z03

Beautiful cars and everything that goes with it keeps fascinating large numbers of people. And the fact that fascination often leads to passion is proven by the new Corvette Z03 presented by Mallett Cars from Berea, Ohio and USD B.V, syllable for Ugur Sahin Design from Gorinchem, the Netherlands.

To the team of Ugur Sahin Design the Corvette C6 rolling chassis presented itself as the ideal platform to start working from. The chassis has proven to be an extremely competitive package on the public roads and even more so on the circuits with the Le Mans victories as best proof of the competence of the C6 Corvette.

With the Corvette Z03 project the 24 year old automotive designer Ugur Sahin has not only created a visually stunning concept, its name also covers the charge due to its very eminent design language translating the Corvette C3 series into a timeless design. To describe the project in one sentence is almost impossible, because this Z03 project incorporates two worlds in one: Supercar performance and the art of Automotive Haute Couture. The limited production series of 100 vehicles will be visually enhanced with stylish handcrafted Carbon Fibre bodyworks, painted in a color to the clients choice. Every body part will be precision engineered by the state of the art engineering equipments to ensure the maximum build quality.

Since the first press release early 2008 Ugur Sahin and his team have been involved in a lot of preparations to take the Z03 concept from art to parts.

Several exterior design adjustments have been made for optimal engine cooling and improved downforce. The headlight units have been shaped into a more aggressive, yet distinctive design to fit the shape of the new powerdome hood.

For fabrication and engine tuning of the limited Corvette series Ugur Sahin Design has teamed up with Mallett Cars from Berea, Ohio.

Mallett Cars has a long history with racing Corvettes and the Mallett brothers have tuned and upgraded hundreds of Corvettes over the years.

Now that Ugur Sahin Design and Mallett Cars have set their minds on the Corvette C6, they are aiming to push the bar even higher for the American performance car enthusiasts.

Proof of this statement is that Mallett Cars has developed a full 24000 mile/ two year guaranteed 999 hp Twin Turbo engine upgrade, which makes the Mallett Z03 the most powerful Corvette series ever produced. After the first testings of the 999HP engine upgrade, acceleration times from 0 to 60 mp/h have been clocked under 3 seconds and the top speed of reaching 220 miles per hour.

Pricing of the conversion of your Corvette C6 or Z06 into a USD Mallett Z03 is set at $ 69.000 for the full bodywork conversion including reference class paintwork.
Pricing does not include cost of the donor vehicle, which will be supplied by the customer.

The Mallett Z03 will be available with two optional performance packages based on the GM’s LS7 engines, a 700 hp supercharged conversion and a 999 hp twin turbo conversion.

2009 Wheelsandmore SL-Maxx

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Wheelsandmore from Baesweiler/Germany presents their SL-Maxx and is combinating stylistic elements with incredible engine performance.

With basically 500hp the AMG version has already a nice performance, but the specialists thought of much more and did professionally well.

By using high speed cam shafts and special valve springs, combinated with a stainless steel, valve controlled exhaust system within an 4in1 manifold and 200 cells sports catalysts and an ecu update, the tuningcrew tuned up the car´s power up to unbelievable 600hp with now 765lb-ft of torque.
To handle those power the rear axle got a differential lock, working variable between 20-80% an extra feeling of power is submitted because of a changed transmission control unit.

First time wheelsandmore is showing their TS-1 ultralight-forged wheel as wide as shown on a serial body. They took an unbelievable 4“ outer rim on the front and a 5“ rim on the rear axle without using a bodykit. The centers of those high-end-wheels are rotationally forged, high gloss consolidated and bolted together with the stainless steel outer rims by ultralight titanscrews. The result is a perfect fitment using 9,5x20“ rims with tyres 245/30/20 Dunlop Sport Maxx on the front and 11x20“ rims with 285/25/20 Dunlop Sport Maxx on the rear axle.

The serial suspension is lowered by a special electronic modul called „LowMaXX“ to get the perfect look and the maximum grip on any racetrack.

To allow maximum performance and providing a tremendous sound the specialists used a handmade satinless steel exhaustsystem with a remote controlled valve system. In the end the tips are trying to show a little bit of understatement by being serial look a like.

HTC S740

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

HTC has come out with a design which others have not dared to try. A dual keypad one with a normal keypad on the top like any ordinary phones and the slider opening up to unveil a full scale QWERTY keypad.

The only awkward thing we notice in the phone is the screen when used with the full-scale keypad. It just doesn't fit. When using a QWERTY keypad you need a complete display to view emails and other things but due to the 12-keypad on the front this is not possible.

The data connectivity offered by the HTC S740 is faster than 3G coming up to over 7MBPS. The phone weighs around 140 grams and measures 116.3 x 43.4 x 16.3 mm with a 2.4 inch QVGA display. Normally we would expect a VGA display but due to the small scren size we will have to settle for QVGA. Other features like Wi-Fi which has become customary in all new phones along with 256MB of inbuilt memory, 3.5mm audio jack, and Usb 2.0 port.

The S740 comes with a Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system running on Qualcom MSM7225 , 528 Mhz processor. The phone is WCDMA compatible along with HSDPA and GSM capable. There is GPS and AGPS navigation along with a FM radio built-in.

This HTC smartphone is scheduled to be released in mid September 2008 and could retail for $550 without carrier subsidy.

Vanish HIV in Initial Stage

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Folks this is about recent research done my medical people saying that HIV can be prevented in t he earlier stage from spreading through out the body by means of vaccination.

A new study suggests that vaccines, which specifically target HIV in the initial stages of infection before it becomes a rapidly replicating.Researchers used a vaccination method that involves creating and maintaining resistance by programming a portion of the body's immune system - effector memory T-cells - to look out for HIV at the site of infection.

HIV appears to be vulnerable when it is first introduced into mucosal surfaces in the body,However, once HIV spreads throughout the entire body, it replicates very rapidly and becomes difficult if not impossible to control. Our approach is to attack during this early period of vulnerability. The approach is similar to that of a homeowner who sprays their house with water before sparks land on the roof.

SO let them to success in their way and to provide better solution for HIV......

New about IE 8

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

The biggest news about IE 8 is what Microsoft has done for performance of the browser. In short, the browser is faster in almost every respect. It loads faster, switches pages faster, and renders complex graphics and videos faster than in previous versions

With IE 8, Microsoft has recognised that performance is about more than just the speed at which the browser opens, however. A few new features of IE 8 are aimed at recognising the types of activities you perform on a regular basis and helping you to get those tasks done more quickly.

The new In Private browsing mode, which allows you to browse the web without having your browsing history stored for others to see

Another important aspects of IE8 is For those who frequently visit the same web site over and over again, waiting for updates, IE 8 introduces Web Slices, a feature that allows you to be notified via IE's favourites bar when a site has been updated with new information

For alerts such as Virus or Trojan or malware When IE 8 detects that you're on a potentially dangerous site, the entire address bar turns red. Additional security controls help to prevent malware from being loaded onto your computer surreptitiously.

Soda - Slow poison to Kidney for Womens

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

HI Folks,

As i would like to share some negative points over Soda, Since it plays major role where ever party comes. Most of the people would like to drink soda in parties, domestic function. Some times if they feel thirsty they would like to have soda instead of water and there is place where Soda plays a major role in Human Kidney

Women who drink two or more cans of soda pop per day are at an increased risk of developing early kidney disease, according to a new study. The study led by David Shoham of Loyola University Health System has shown that women who drink two or more sodas a day were 1.86 times more likely to have albuminuria, a sensitive marker for early kidney damage.

Albuminuria is an excess amount of a protein called albumin in the urine. Since healthy kidneys filter out large molecules such as albumin, an excess amount can be a sign of damage to the kidneys.

However, they did not find any elevated risk for men, or for people who drink diet soda.In recent years, diabetes, obesity and kidney disease have been increasing, along with consumption of high fructose corn syrup, the sweetener used in most sodas.

So people please take care of your health and try to avoid usgade of soda as much as possible....

BGP 100 Cool Bluetooth Game Pad

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

I guess I didn’t know that the Mobile Gaming market is growing, but I suppose it was only a matter of time before somebody made joysticks for mobile phone games. In the case of the BGP100 Bluetooth Game Pad, these controllers are wireless.

The BGP100 has a 4-way pad for directional control, and seven programmable buttons for whatever else the game requires. As you can see, these controllers can affix themselves to the side of the mobile device with the use of included rubber strips.

Just think of it as turning your mobile phone into a mobile gaming device like a PSP or DS, and the BGP100 is also designed for Pocket PCs as well as Pocket PC Phones. The BGP100 supports a number of platforms including Window Mobile 2003, plus the Symbian Series.

As for power, the gamepads are powered by a 1.5V AAA battery, which is good enough for three and a half hours of continual use. As far as the range is concerned, it is about 55mm with the smartphone or Pocket PC in the middle, but it can also be used from a larger distance with the Bluetooth-enabled mobile unit sitting on a desk.

The BGP100 Bluetooth Game Pad is available from the Smarterlife Web site for a price of AU $128.45.

Pocket Telescope

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Hi folks in the earlier days building the telescope itself will look as if like an rocket, then how to carry that with u, its impossible. Now u can carry the telescope in ur pocket or in ur hand, looks as if like carrying a pen with u.

f you’re a major science geek and have finally come to the point when you want to get out of the lab, you might want this Pocket Telescope/Microscope. Then when you’re out roaming the world, if you happen to come across anything tiny and interesting, you’ll always have your microscope handy. It will also be great for when you’re star gazing, but don’t want to have to drag out the full telescope. Sometimes it’s better to keep things minimal.

You’ll never have to leave your geeky scientific curiosity at home. This little telescope/microscope could easily fit into your pocket. Although the microscope part does require an extra attachment, making the microscope part a little more bulky to carry around. The whole thing has a hard-shell case to make sure it stays clean and protected. It measures 5” but with the microscope attachment it’s 7 and 1/2”. You can pick it up for $27.50 on Lee Valley & veritas.

Smash Alaram Clock

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Hi friends the most painful thing is the world is to get up earlier. If yesturday was an holiday then the next day getting up would be an seeing the gravyard. when u get up u would be in the sense of hitting something. Now that option became easy for , there is a alaram clock in which u can show ur anger by hitting it with ur force.

Here’s a great way to kick off the morning. There is no better way to greet the day than to start it with a bit of violence. No one really likes their alarm clock, for a great deal of reasons really. First of all it is dragging you out of bed and to top it off, most alarm clocks are just plain annoying. I know it’s had to occur to you on at least one occasion to pick up the clock and chuck it at the nearest wall or at the very least to pound it into tiny pieces.

This alarm clock allows for you to get that frustration out every morning. To make it stop that obnoxious beeping stop, just punch the top of the alarm. It might even make it fun to wake up in the morning. You get to look forward to actually having a valid excuse to hit something every single day. Then if you get frustrated midway through the day, just “accidentally” set it for five minutes from then. Sadly, it’s still a concept design, but hopefully something like this will hit the market sometime soon.

Game Is The Life

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Hi Friends Lessons learned in video games like World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero or Mario Kart, can easily influence real life choices, says a new study.

Paul Fletcher, a neuroscientist at Cambridge University, UK, who led the study, said that as video games become more immersive and realistic, all involved ought to realise the potential.

"I don't think this is evidence that video games are bad. We just need to be aware that associations formed within the game transfer to the real world - for good or bad," New Scientist quoted Fletcher, a former gamer, as saying.

Earlier it has been shown that video games and virtual reality can sway our emotions, help treat post-traumatic stress disorder, and even trigger the same biological pathways as food and cocaine.

But Fletcher noted that till date, no one has shown that video games can train the kind of conditioned responses that underlie much of our behaviour.

Thus, he, along with colleagues recruited 22 volunteer subjects and found that volunteers who played a simple cycling game learned to favour one team's jersey and avoid another's.And days later, most subjects subconsciously avoided the same jersey in a real-world test.

"Our research suggests whatever you've learned in the computer game does have an effect on how you behave toward the stimulus in the real world," said Fletcher.

He added: "The goal of games manufacturers is to immerse their customers as deeply as possible within the game. Of course, that can be for good or bad."

They also found that while violent games could have players more likely to lash out at specific people, associations learned in video games could be educational. The study has been published in Journal of Neuroscience.

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Yoshita Singh & H S Rao Chicago/London, Jan 27 (PTI) A staggering over 80,000 job cuts were announced in a single day across the world yesterday, reflecting how deep the economic meltdown has run. Construction machinery manufacturer Caterpillar, pharma major Pfizer, telecom firm Sprint Nextel Corp and home improvement retailer Home Depot together accounted for 61,000 lay-off announcements.

The global job losses represent yet another evidence that the financial crisis that erupted on Wall Street has now infected the whole of the corporate world, engulfing industries ranging from health care to heavy equipment makers. Dutch banking and insurance group ING said it would slash 7,000 jobs, while another Dutch company Philips announced 6,000 job losses.

The electronics major has 2,500 workers in the UK. Britain's largest steelmaker Corus had said it would cut 3,500 jobs from its global workforce, with more than 2,500 of them in the UK. On the other hand, some companies are taking extreme measures to avoid job cuts. Virgin Atlantic introduced a pay freeze at all levels yesterday and many companies have already introduced short working weeks and cuts in hours.

Caterpillar cut its workforce by 20,000, while the drugs major Pfizer said it was slashing 26,000 posts. Home Depot, the do-it-yourself chain, laid off 7,000 workers; and Sprint Nextel, the telecom conglomerate sacked 8,000.

Another major trimming was announced by Texas Instruments which will trim its workforce 3,400. PTI.

Posted by Galaxy of Kenshin

Hi friends We know that sony are the company which brings our dream technology into this real world and to get used by the humans. Now it has launched a PURSE sized laptop for the use of everyone and its very tiny to carry, the space is not at matter for this laptop , a small pocket is enough to carry it.....

Tech-savvy girls won't have to carry the load of laptop bags anymore, for Sony has launched an ultra-portable "netbook" computer that will fit in any aspiring career woman's purse.

The Vaio P boasts most features found on a laptop, from a webcam and GPS to a built-in 3G modem, allowing users to go online by inserting a mobile phone sim card.

The new netbook is aimed at people who want to surf the Internet, edit documents and check their emails on the go.

In fact, its designers have claimed that it is the lightest eight-inch netbook in the world.

They said it does everything that equivalent models of bigger sizes would do.

And the reviewers said that its keyboard, unlike many other small laptops, is easy to use.

While a basic model is available at 849 pounds, a faster-operating netbook with more memory will cost 1,370 pounds.

However, Joshua Topolsky from the technology website Engadget is not quite sure if many consumers will pay the asking price.

"It simply costs more than other options. A cost which Sony want users to 'aspire' to pay. There are plenty of viable, less expensive options," The Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Hi Friends this the latest news that has been given by yahoo..........

Yahoo! has decided to freeze salary hikes of its employees this year as the Internet major explores cost cutting measures to cope with the deteriorating global economic situation.

"Based on the current economic environment and our focus on keeping costs in line with revenues, we have decided that providing annual salary increases would not be in the best interests of the company or our shareholders," Yahoo! spokesperson based in the US Kim Rubey said.

Rubey noted that the freeze on salary hikes would be "in place through 2009". The latest move comes in less than two weeks after Carol Bartz took over as the Yahoo! Chief Executive from its founder Jerry Yang. In 2008, Yahoo!'s global headcount stood at 15,000 and of them, around 1,500 employees are in India. "This decision is consistent with our broader focus on strategically reducing Yahoo!s costs, an effort that has been underway for some time now.
